Nuevo programa en l\u00ednea para promover una comprensi\u00f3n m\u00e1s profunda de la sexualidad<\/i><\/b><\/h2>\n

SAN PETERSBURGO<\/b> Las adolescentes en hogares de acogida suelen ser trasladadas de un hogar a otro, lo que reduce sus oportunidades de formar relaciones sanas y estables con quienes las rodean. Esta falta de estabilidad y la ausencia de una educaci\u00f3n sexual integral pueden hacer que estas j\u00f3venes sean m\u00e1s vulnerables a la violencia sexual, los comportamientos violentos, los embarazos no deseados, las infecciones de transmisi\u00f3n sexual y la trata de personas.<\/p>\n

El <\/span>Eligi\u00e9ndome a m\u00ed mismo<\/b> El programa busca cambiar esta situaci\u00f3n ofreciendo a ni\u00f1as y j\u00f3venes elegibles la oportunidad de adquirir conocimientos sobre sus cuerpos, l\u00edmites, valores y metas. Mediante diversas actividades, juegos, autorreflexi\u00f3n y proyectos art\u00edsticos, se explorar\u00e1n temas como la anatom\u00eda, las pr\u00e1cticas sexuales seguras y el empoderamiento. El objetivo es mejorar la comprensi\u00f3n de la sexualidad para que puedan tomar mejores decisiones sobre sus relaciones sexuales y el autocuidado.<\/span><\/p>\n

Todas las sesiones grupales se llevar\u00e1n a cabo en un espacio seguro, c\u00f3modo y libre de prejuicios. Pueden participar chicas y mujeres j\u00f3venes (cisg\u00e9nero y transg\u00e9nero) de entre 13 y 24 a\u00f1os que hayan estado en hogares de acogida, residencias grupales o en el programa Guardian Ad Litem.<\/span><\/p>\n

La Dra. Jill McCracken, profesora de la Universidad del Sur de Florida en San Petersburgo y fundadora del proyecto de Educaci\u00f3n e Investigaci\u00f3n sobre la Salud Sexual Adolescente (ASHER), colabor\u00f3 con la Fundaci\u00f3n Guardian Ad Litem de Tampa Bay para crear <\/span>Eligi\u00e9ndome a m\u00ed mismo<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Eligi\u00e9ndome a m\u00ed mismo<\/b> Consta de seis sesiones de dos horas, una por semana. La inscripci\u00f3n para la primera sesi\u00f3n cierra el 1 de agosto de 2020, pero las inscripciones para las sesiones posteriores se aceptar\u00e1n de forma continua. La participaci\u00f3n es gratuita; de hecho, los participantes reciben $10 por cada sesi\u00f3n a la que asisten.
