FLORIDA<\/b> \u2013 <\/span>En respuesta a la presentaci\u00f3n de una prohibici\u00f3n casi total del aborto por parte de legisladores antielecci\u00f3n en la Legislatura de Florida el martes, la coalici\u00f3n Black in Repro, un grupo de defensores negros de la justicia reproductiva y de natalidad en toda Florida con valores y una visi\u00f3n compartidos, que incluyen <\/span>Experiencia de Equidad, FANM Saj, Red de Acceso de Florida, Melanin Mothers Meet, Centro Power U para el Cambio Social, Red de Justicia de Nacimiento del Sur y l\u00edderes negros de Planned Parenthood del Sur, Este y Norte de Florida.<\/b> \u2013 han emitido la siguiente declaraci\u00f3n:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Ayer, los legisladores extremistas antiaborto de Florida presentaron una prohibici\u00f3n casi total del aborto que, de aprobarse, prohibir\u00eda el acceso a atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica esencial para la vida en toda la regi\u00f3n sur. Esta prohibici\u00f3n extrema ilegalizar\u00eda el aborto aproximadamente a las seis semanas de embarazo, antes de que la mayor\u00eda de las personas sepan siquiera que est\u00e1n embarazadas. Dejar\u00eda a todos los floridanos con un plazo pr\u00e1cticamente imposible para acceder a la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica, especialmente para las personas negras y de color, que ya enfrentan grandes obst\u00e1culos para obtener un aborto.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

En las comunidades negras, en particular, existe un historial de control sobre nuestra vida reproductiva por parte de personas que no valoran nuestro bienestar. El acoso a las personas negras no es nuevo en el panorama pol\u00edtico estadounidense, especialmente en el sur.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Incluso antes de esta prohibici\u00f3n, quienes buscaban atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica para el aborto se enfrentaban a obst\u00e1culos significativos. Florida ya exige un retraso innecesario de 24 horas y dos citas separadas para obtener un aborto, lo que supone una carga excesiva que afecta especialmente a las familias de bajos recursos. Si esta prohibici\u00f3n entra en vigor, el gobierno obligar\u00eda a m\u00e1s personas a llevar adelante embarazos contra su voluntad o incluso en contra del consejo de sus profesionales de la salud.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el <\/span><\/i>Revista estadounidense de salud p\u00fablica<\/span><\/i><\/a>Los estados con mayores restricciones al aborto tambi\u00e9n presentan los peores resultados en materia de salud materna, lo cual sabemos que afecta desproporcionadamente a las personas negras que dan a luz. Nuestras comunidades, que ya enfrentan prejuicios arraigados y desigualdades en salud, son las m\u00e1s afectadas por la HB 7\/SB 300. \n<\/span><\/i>Si se aprueba este proyecto de ley, seguiremos escuchando historias desgarradoras de j\u00f3venes que han sido violadas y que no pueden acceder a servicios de aborto en Florida, o de personas con embarazos muy deseados que sufren complicaciones m\u00e9dicas desgarradoras que no se pueden abordar porque los proveedores de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica est\u00e1n restringidos por definiciones m\u00e9dicamente inexactas en la ley.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
