Most notably, six months ago, the &#8220;defund&#8221; provision of the One Big Billionaires Act was enforced.\n      <\/p>\n\n      <p><strong>\n        There were immediate harms because of this, and now, we&#8217;re beginning to see the sweeping impacts of clinic closures, canceled appointments, and the dramatic loss of health care coverage.\n      <\/strong><\/p>\n\n      <p>\n        Senator Elizabeth Warren and others\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/www.warren.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/_senate_defund_report.pdf?link_id=1&amp;can_id=4b1709debe0069041ee558b281f7d996&amp;source=email-floridians-for-reproductive-freedom-newsletter-48&amp;email_referrer=&amp;email_subject=floridians-for-reproductive-freedom-newsletter&amp;&amp;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n          released a report\n        <\/a>\n        with Planned Parenthood documenting 51 total health centers that have closed and striking reductions in care when comparing 2025 visits to the same period in the year prior.\n      <\/p>\n\n      <p>They reported:<\/p>\n\n      <ul>\n        <li>25% fewer breast exams<\/li>\n        <li>36% fewer IUD insertions<\/li>\n        <li>11% decline in STI testing<\/li>\n        <li>\n          20% fewer visits for birth control\n          <ul>\n            <li>In fact, nearly 25,000 health center patients lost access to birth control.<\/li>\n          <\/ul>\n        <\/li>\n      <\/ul>\n\n      <p>\n        This hasn&#8217;t impacted all Americans in the same way; 75% of clinic closures have been in &#8220;rural, medically underserved areas&#8221;. Looking at the U.S. as a whole, nearly half of all counties do not have a practicing OBGYN, so when a health center closes, access is entirely eliminated.\n      <\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n      <a href=\"https:\/\/www.warren.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/_senate_defund_report.pdf?link_id=2&amp;can_id=4b1709debe0069041ee558b281f7d996&amp;source=email-floridians-for-reproductive-freedom-newsletter-48&amp;email_referrer=&amp;email_subject=floridians-for-reproductive-freedom-newsletter&amp;&amp;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/actionnetwork.org\/unlayer_files\/1774037130620-Screenshot+2026-03-20+160442.png\" alt=\"Planned Parenthood Closures\" width=\"580\" \/>\n      <\/a>\n    <\/div>\n\n    <div>\n      <p>\n        Patients in the report were overwhelmingly fearful about their ability to find new health care providers, stating,\n        <strong><em>&#8220;Where am I going to go?
