We have officially made it halfway through Legislative Session (if it ends on time). This week, lots of bad bills progressed, and we’re in a critical time to stop them before their final votes.

Later today, we’ll find out more of what’s on agendas next week. We’ll update this website with what’s being voted on next week, what’s at stake, and how you can help.

Here’s what we know so far:

SB 1134 / HB 1001, Anti-Diversity in Local Government: is in the Senate Rules Committee on Tuesday at noon.

    • This bill is a state sledgehammer to stop cities and counties from any action that recognizes and responds to differences based on race, sex, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation, with limited exceptions. It would effectively ban local governments from a range of actions like hosting or supporting Pride events, offering LGBTQ+ cultural competency training, recognizing Black History Month, or having women and minority-owned business programs.
    • Take action here.

SB 1632 / HB 1471, Outlawing Activism: is in the Senate Appropriations Committee on Criminal and Civil Justice on Wednesday at 10:30am.

    • Take action here.

SB 1334 / HB 991, New Barriers to Voting: is in Senate Appropriations Committee on Transportation, Tourism, and Economic Development on Wednesday at 8:30am.

    • Take action here.
