Florida Phoenix

A few days after Amendment 4 failed in Florida, abortion fund directors were interviewed about the work they do and how the extreme ban affects their work in the state. They also talk about current efforts to raise money for their respective funds, as they spent record amounts on abortion access this year
- Abortion fund directors state that after the Dobbs v. Jackson decision they saw a spike in donations, but they need help from their communities in order to keep providing Floridians with access to safe abortions when they are in need of one.
- As a result, they talk about fundraisers they have going on (or events that will occur) in order to keep their mission going. The directors also focus part of their conversation on the fact that as extreme bans remain in place, it is even more necessary to have organizations that allow Floridians access to needed care.
