Progress Florida
This Valentine’s Day message goes out to each of you!
We are sending love to everyone in the fight for reproductive freedom and justice: our abortion providers and funds, doulas and midwives, spiritual leaders, mommas, storytellers, childcare workers, advocates, clinic escorts, policy nerds, social media warriors, and artists. In spite of so many obstacles, there’s a lot to love about the movement we keep building. Thank you for being part of it.

Action Alert: Protect Sex Ed in Duval County
The Duval County School Board is considering a shift to an abstinence-based sexual health curriculum along with an opt-in process that would severely limit the information students receive about critical topics like contraception, HIV/AIDS and STI prevention, testing, and treatment, consent, and healthy relationships.

This move would drastically reduce students’ access to lifesaving, medically accurate information, leaving them unprepared to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. Abstinence-based approaches have been proven ineffective, putting our youth at greater risk for unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV/AIDS, and unhealthy relationships.

Click here to take action by writing to the school board, attending the meeting in-person, and staying up-to-date on future calls to action.
