Reproductive Rights News Roundup – May 23rd 2025

Last week a devastating opinion impacting the judicial bypass process in Florida was released. This process, though deeply flawed and challenging, provided a pathway for minors in Florida to have an abortion if they couldn’t involve a parent or guardian in their decision. Now, this option is severely limited and largely inaccessible. Read the statement from Human Rights Watch for more information.

Young and need an abortion in Florida? The repro legal helpline is a call away.

Advocates with The Jane Network are working overtime to support minors with free legal support. Making young people who cannot safely include a parent in their abortion decision choose between having the abortion they want and their safety and wellness is a cruel use of state power. Please help us support The Jane Network by sharing their website, donating, helping to recruit more lawyers, and ensuring they are a resource Floridians know about.

Now more than ever, abortion funds need our help too. Restrictions on abortion lead to increased costs for care, from transportation to lodging to the cost of the actual appointment, and abortion funds make it possible for people to be supported both emotionally and financially. Click here to split a donation between Florida’s funds.
