In the US, abortion is legal in every state, but access is dwindling. Florida’s reproductive rights movement is fighting to change law and policy, but now more than ever, we also need to claim the power to determine our own reproductive destinies. People are already using abortion pills on their own to end their pregnancies. The pills are safe and effective, but accurate information and support is needed.
Self-managed Abortion: Safe and Supported (SASS), a train-the-trainer event hosted by Progress Florida, Florida NOW, and Connecticut NOW, will be an exciting opportunity for abortion and reproductive rights advocates to learn how to effectively and legally spread the information about self-managed abortion with pills.
Every person should have the power and resources to determine their own reproductive futures—whether it is having a child or ending a pregnancy— reproductive justice demands it!
