It’s officially election season! Ballots are already finalized and being mailed out for the August election, but who will be in the running for the elections to come? Have you ever found yourself considering running for office in the future?
Meet Women on the Run: the Women’s Foundation of Florida’s nonpartisan training and mentorship program for women who are ready to lead in public life.
Whether you’re interested in running for elected office, working on campaigns, serving on boards, advocating for your community, or stepping into civic leadership, Women on the Run provides interactive workshops, mentorship, and real-world campaign training.
Check out the program details:
- Duration: Cohort style Program running August 25th- October 27th
- Time: Tuesdays, 7:00pm – 8:30pm
- Locations: Virtual workshops and trainings
- Cost: The cost to cover the full program is $250. Scholarships are available.

Tampa Period Pantry: Help build up the stock of period and hygiene products to keep all 40 pantries (plus their Pads for Students program) full.
- Drop off unused/individually-wrapped or unopened-box products at: Disco Dolls (Tampa), Neighborhood Joe (St. Pete), or Kaleisia Tea (Tampa), or donate online here.
Florida Access Network’s Walmart Wishlist: FAN’s registry is currently short on gallon storage bags and diapers, sizes 3, 4, 5, and 6.
SoFlo Period Pantry: A new free period pantry is opening at White Rose Cafe (4703 SW 8 St, Miami, FL 33134; open Sun 11am–3pm, Mon 10am–3pm, Tues–Sat 10am–5pm) and they are especially in need of tampons and overnight pads.
