Welcome to the Floridians for Reproductive Freedom Coalition’s newsletter!
We know you’ve gotten used to seeing these hit your inboxes every Friday, but after today, we’ll be moving to a biweekly schedule.
Don’t worry, you’ll still have your usual roundups:
- virtual and in-person events and volunteer opportunities
- state and national news on reproductive health
- new research findings
- supply drives
- job openings
- and more!
We work to bring you information from the nearly 90 organizations which make up the FRF Coalition, because we can’t do this work alone and we shouldn’t have to.
|
So what does it mean to be part of a Coalition, whether as a member of an organization or a grassroots supporter from wherever you call home? It means that even as we have different approaches, styles, and strategies to create change, we’re able to share resources and power, driven by the same values and ultimate mission: ensure that we as Floridians have the freedom, access, and dignity to make the decisions we need to for our bodies, families, and futures.
|
It also means when times are overwhelming, we grow tired, or may even need to take a step back, that there are allies on either side of us, prepared to keep the work going.
A lot will change in Florida between now and the November election, and as a result of who voters choose to be in office. Help us grow the people power needed to shift our state towards true reproductive freedom and justice, overturn our six-week abortion ban, and protect our rights, no matter where we live, who we love, or how much money we make.

Call to Action:
Broward County’s Menstrual Equity Campaign
|
For the last year, largely youth-led organizations have fought hard to get period products in school restrooms. In less than a month, a pilot program will be introduced in the Broward County school board meeting and we need your help to get it across the finish line (and hopefully expanded across the state in the future)!
- Sign up to testify in-person on Sept. 15th in Ft. Lauderdale.
- Send an email urging Broward County School Board Members to support this program. Then, forward the link to your South Florida friends!
Shoutout to Prism, Youth Action Fund, and Promote Her, Period for their incredible leadership!
