Right now, up to 3.7 million people are uninsured or losing coverage as costs rise and protections disappear. Chances are, if we aren’t personally impacted, someone we love is going without necessary healthcare because they can’t afford or don’t qualify for insurance.
That’s why Florida Decides Healthcare is working to put Medicaid expansion before voters. If it passes in 2028, hundreds of thousands of working Floridians would gain access to affordable, life‑saving care.
We’re no strangers to the citizen-led amendment process and y’all, it’s petition time! This is the essential period where hundreds of thousands of petitions must be submitted so the amendment can qualify for the ballot.
Here’s your Friday roundup of how you can help: - Request a petition: Even if you signed a petition in 2025, this is a NEW cycle, meaning we need everyone who signed in 2025 and before to re-sign!
- Share the petition link.
- Tell your story: How has Medicaid impacted your life? Have you or a family member faced hardships because you didn’t qualify for coverage or couldn’t afford private insurance? Your story matters and could help shape a better future.

May has almost ended, which means it’s the final days of Fund-A-Thon, the annual fundraiser to support abortion funds in Florida.
Under our state’s near-total abortion ban, these funds are lifelines for patients having to gather money quickly or navigate out-of-state travel to get care.

Be part of someone’s story by donating towards their hotel, child or pet care, flight, or cozy meal. To split a donation across all six funds supporting Floridians, click here. (This link is active year-round.)
